Hey guys, I haven't posted here in so long, so I thought I would share a few new makeups!

Lately I'm still working at MAC, and have also been freelancing working on lots of shoots and have collaborated with Doe Deere of Lime Crime Makeup by writing a tutorial for her blogazine.

I now have a makeup/fashion/whatever blog up on my website at http://www.mishka.net.au - Bookmark it because I update all the time! I am putting so much into it so any feedback would be appreciated!

Keep in mind that it's still not 100% finished, many many more pictures to go up in the 'Showcase' section but what the hell, I wanted it up sooner rather than later!

It's been a while since I've posted anything so here's a quick update.

Off to Sydney tomorrow morning (red eye flight... ugh) for op shopping, wheels & dollbaby and then dressing up for the Burlesque Ball. I have bought  a massive headdress to wear and I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to pack it. I was going to curl my hair for it but seriously, I can't be fucked. I also have a new silver, black and lace corset to wear (that is, if Wendy finishes it in time *fingers crossed*)....*update* just messaged her and it will be done by 5pm! Yay!

About a week ago Xenia (a.k.a Doe Deere) of Lime Crime Makeup contacted me out of the blue saying that she loves my work and asking me to choose any 10 of her eyeshadow colours as a gift.  I was like "whaaaaaaa?!", I mean, I love her work, I've been a reader of her blog for a while now and have been dying to try out her new makeup line. So, knowing that she even knows of me and likes my work and is throwing free makeup at me makes me a very happy Mishka.  I recieved the makeup yesterday and fuck it's amazing!

Brent's exhibition is only a week away now, it's all happening so, so fast. Go check out the details here at Realwomen. It's going to be an amazing art show and I'm so proud of Brent for being so organised and doing so well with all of the promo. He keeps getting interviewed for print, and also this Saturday he has a 2 page spread and interview in the Weekender Magazine in the Advertiser newspaper, so that's going to hit a different audience altogether! So chuffed for him. He deserves the recognition. Let's just hope that he makes back some of the money that has gone into putting this thing together! If you know of any rich art buffs in Adelaide, send them to the show!!

I'm feeling sick. It's fucking unbelieveable - I've been eating so healthily, been exercising, taking enough Vitamin C and eating loads of garlic lately and I STILL manage to get sick. Wtf? It's like someone out there is trying to smite me. It could have been the past weekend though, I got blind drunk and I always seem to pick something up after long nights of drinking in the cold.

Anyhow, I have a twitter now, so add me. This must be the most pointless site I've come across lately but I thought why the hell not?

I've just realised, pretty much my whole live journal is private-only. I have years recorded on this thing but it's all "wah wah, i'm fighting with my boyfriend again, wah wah I'm fat" crap so there you go, that's why it's on private :P

it's been an interesting few days.

funeral for brent's nan was yesterday. it was heartbreaking, but at the same time i couldn't help but smile as family members reflected on her life with such joy and positive memories. and, as my mother said, nan was a sexy bitch when she was younger ;)

today, i'm getting my 5th tattoo. i'm so excited, it's been over a year since i have felt the tingling pain that comes when being stabbed with needles continuously.

i'm getting a rose, inspired by old-school styles and the more contemporary art of Angelique Houtkamp.
it will be on my left arm, on my wrist. it will be the start of a half-sleeve.

saturday is my birthday party (my birthday was on wednesday 8th oct).
i'm 24, and i'm going to celebrate properly, dressed-up as a 1940's burlesque queen!

I love this picture my b took on our anniversary, I can't believe it's been a whole year already!

We stayed in a quiet little (haunted) cottage, took pictures and just relaxed for the weekend.

Back to real life now, I just started my Certificate III in Makeup yesterday (this one is all about Fashion/Editorial makeup and Catwalk so it's gonna be uber uber fun and right up my alley)  and b and I are currently planning a monster shoot in Melbourne in late November for a latex label. So more on that when i know what the deal is. Paid work is always good, I am a poor student after all.

I'm off to Melbourne this Sunday for MAC training, and I'll be there until Friday.
I'm staying on Chapel St, which is awesome, anyone know if there's any sushi places around there?? I'm trying to be good.
I have peeps to catch up with over there and shoots in planning so looking forward to it!

(In other news, Day 3 and I'm feeling good, keep it up lady!!)
